Sunday Worship Service October 18
October 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Rev. Julie Kline, Rev. Dr. Matt Weiler, Jim Frey, Julia Librizzi, Zach Ribble
2 Timothy 3:14–4:5; Luke 18:1-8
Today’s worship calls us to look inward and to look outward. We look inward praying for God to strengthen our faith for times of challenge. We look outward praying persistently for God’s justice to reign. This is the work of the church we celebrate today in the midst of this season of generosity, creating a space at FUMC where faith is nurtured and God’s justice for all creation is proclaimed. First Beats and the Handbell Ensemble fill the liturgy with songs of praise to God who gathers and hears us.
“Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers… Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” ~Hebrews 13:1-2, 16
