Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7; Luke 17:11-19
This is the second Sunday of our generosity campaign, “Our Hearts, Our Home.” Today with the Prophet Jeremiah we are encouraged to create the fullness of God’s kingdom here in this place where we worship and grow together. With Jesus seek healing and wholeness for all creating the conditions for belonging. With the one who was healed we give thanks for all God has given us. Today we also receive a special presentation of the Gospel from our Milestones Children as a part of our congregation’s “Making Meaning” Grant project.
“Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers… Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” ~Hebrews 13:1-2, 16
