September 20 Worship Service – ASP Sunday

We continue the series Salt, Soil, Seawater: Creation Justice this week by turning to Psalm 148 which invites us to include all that exists in our praise. All of Creation exists within the relational web of life with God, and therefore, our worship is not separate from Creation but an integral part of it. Our praise becomes a declaration of our commitment to kinship with Creation and calls us to join in the cosmic dance of life. We are part of Creation, not above or separate from it, and we have a role and responsibility to nurture the sacred web of life.

On this Sunday we’ll hear from our Youth Appalachia Service Project Team as they tell the story of their summer mission trip; how their work was a participation in the dance of all creation.
