“Listening is much more than allowing another to talk while waiting for a chance to respond…The beauty of listening is that, those who are listened to start feeling accepted, start taking their words more seriously and discovering their own true selves. Listening is a form of spiritual hospitality by which you invite strangers to become friends.” ~Henri Nouwen
To deeply listen opens the door to transformation. When we feel listened to by one another, by God, and when we listen to our true selves, transformation is possible. Listening brings connection, not listening brings separation. Listening to understand means we fear less and the less we fear, the more we trust, the more love can flow. As we worship, let us consider the humble voices that are not frequently listened to consistently. In this listening, may we be transformed and guided to paths of wellness and strength.
Join us in person or online for worship on Sundays at 10am. If you’re joining us in person, please review our updated mask practice.
