Church Council

Members of the congregation are welcome and encouraged to attend the next Church Council meeting, which will take place online on Zoom on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The Church Council membership is comprised of Church leaders from ministry teams and administrative committees, clergy, directors and other lay members holding leadership positions. Any member of the congregation may have a voice, but only Church Council members may vote on decision items.

Note: This will be one of our quarterly meetings combining Church Council members, Reconciling Team members, and FUMC Kalamazoo Staff members as we do a deep dive session into learning more about our cultural experiences and first learning about our individual and corporate Intercultural Inventory Development Plans. We are grateful for the leadership of Lisa Batten and Cara Weiler who will facilitate our learning! Our plan is to have a one-hour session to focus on IDI and then Church Council members will remain to complete our agenda for ministry celebration and business.
