The day of Epiphany is Thursday, January 6 and in anticipation of Epiphany we hear the story of the Three Wise Men today in our worship. This story, found in the gospel of Matthew, continues the whimsical and beautiful pageantry we are so fond of remembering at Christmas time, but it also carries a subtext full of intrigue and risk, indicating to us that our pursuits of the Christ child might call us to take our own risks. On this first Sunday of the New Year, we will also celebrate the Eucharist, and together, take the risk of discovering, along with the wise men, the gift and love of the Christ Child.
Those who are worshiping from home are invited to prepare bread and grape juice to participate in the Eucharist celebration.
Join us in person or online for worship on Sundays at 10am.
