“I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” Mark 1: 24b
We need healing. One of the beauties of being a Christ follower is recognizing that we are wounded, and that Christ is the healer of our every ill. When we can recognize our own woundedness and accept the vulnerability that comes from seeking wholeness, we are set free. When we hide our fears, our doubts, our hurts, and our despair, we give them further command to wound ourselves or others. Jesus readily embraced those who needed healing, he turned toward them, not away. Our worship will embrace our need for healing as we have a time of anointing, accepting the balm of compassion. As wounded healers, we then go into the world with the eyes of love. Come, let us celebrate the love of God.
