“What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready…” 1 John 3: 2
We are children of God. Through the love of God, we are claimed and called God’s children. “See what love” is the opening of this passage in the first letter of John. It is proclaimed with amazement and joy that this love is freely given. This is Eastertide, a living and leaning into the essence of resurrection which requires an eager anticipation for the revelations of Christ. As we are attentive, awake, and alive in Christ we become like him. We are a Christ centered community; may we look forward to his comings and stay steady in love. Let us celebrate this Easter love!
